Relief care is any care necessary to relieve your symptoms in the short term. Relief care alone will not correct the underlying structural cause of the symptoms, so the symptoms will usually return in the future. As soon as the symptoms are relieved, relief care is over. At that point you can decide to end your care until symptoms return, or move on to rebuilding care.
Massage Therapy may be suggested by the doctors in Relief Care or Rebuilding Care. Massage increases oxygen rich blood supply to deficient areas throughout the body, releasing the grasp of tight muscles and their nerves and freeing the connective tissues which bind the muscles they surround. This will aid in leaving you relaxed, calm and pain free.
